Synergy Christmas Prog: Prayer Dec16

Purpose driven Prayer: Dec16Jesus taught the significance of prevailing prayer through the parable of the widow and the unjust judge. Prevailing prayer is the constant knocking at the door with the expectation that it will be opened. The widow in the parable asked in faith and with expectation. The prayer has to be specific, unselfish, consistent and persistent.

WHO IS JESUS ?

In chemistry, He turned water to wine.
In biology, He was born without the normal conception.
In physics, He disapproved the law of gravity when He ascended into heaven.
In economics, He disapproved the law of diminishing return by feeding 5000 men with two fishes and 5 loaves of bread.
In medicine, He cured the sick and the blind without administering a single dose of drugs.
In history, He is the beginning and the end.
In government, He said that he shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Prince of Peace.
In religion, He said no one comes to the Father except through him;

So. Who is He? He is Jesus! The greatest man in history.
Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master.
He had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher.
He had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer.
He had no army, yet kings feared Him.
He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world.
He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him.
He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today as the Lord Almighty!

Thoughts-I Peter-Healthy interpersonal relationships

As a matured and experienced Christian, Peter understood the need for healthy interpersonal relationships; we are advised by him to

1) Love one another deeply (1:22; 3:8; 2:17; 4:8)
We are expected to love deeply from the heart. Our purification has to inspire and motivate us to love others. It is worthy to remind ourselves that we are commanded by Jesus Christ to love God and love our neighbors.

2) Submit to authority (2:3; 3:1; 5:5)
As Christian we are advised to submit to every authority instituted-national, social, secular, family, hierarchical etc. We ought to be submissive to others as we submit to God.

3) Respect and honour others (2:17; 3:7)
We have to give proper respect to everyone irrespective of caste, creed, colour and social status and should not fail to extend gratitude and honour to those who deserves it. We should not look down on others because of their shortcomings, failures, etc

4) Live in harmony with one another ( 3:18)
Christians are expected to be promoters of peace, harmony etc. We need to lead by example in times of conflicts and contradictions. The type of love expressed in Bible is loving even the enemies and those doing harm to us. When our dear and near ones go through times of pain and suffering, we would have to empathize and sympathize with them

5) Do not retaliate (3:9)

The heart of retaliation is normal and common but we need to reflect the character of God, who does not punish us when we fail to live according to His expectations. He wants us to be doers of good even to those who harm us.

6) Offer hospitality (4:9)
It refers to friendly and generous behavior towards visitors and guests. Christian hospitality differs from social entertaining. Hospitality focuses on guest and their needs – place, food, listening to them etc.

HARVEST MOON: There's a full Moon tonight (Wed., Sept. 26) and it has a specialname--the "Harvest Moon," the full Moon closest to the autumnal equinox. In the days before electric lights, farmers relied on moonlight to help them gather ripening autumn crops. The bright Harvest Moon allowed their work to continue late into the night. Moonrise happens tonight at sunset; look at the East and enjoy the view

2007 Aug15 Needyland Mohan & Benita

In this picture you see our Hosur Prayercell Co Founder Mr.Mohan with Mrs.Benita Mohan and their lovely son Abi.

God blessed our Missionary Needy Land trip from Aug 11-15. Thanks for your prayers.

In the background u see a Tractor at the Village HuliDevera Mane - our BYM mission field. Here is an interesting story. Kasavva - She was a poor widow, who can earn Just 30 Rupees a day years ago as Casual Labour. Missionary Mr.Samuel Gently shared the Gospel in her village. She accpted the Lord. She and her house hold are strong pillars of the small congregation amidst of stiff opposition. Now God blessed her, with a own land. Around 20 people are working in her land now. Recently she purchased a Tractor to tilt her land. Last month 33 members gathered for 3 days fasting prayer in her house.

Small people. But, Big faith.... It was too Challenging for the Bangalore Team.

Wonderful. I will write her thrilling testimony - How she saved a person near to the death..Later.
